The setting of A Walk To Remember is taken place in Beaufort, North Carolina. The town is divided into two areas. There's the poor side of town. The other side of town is the wealther side of town. There is a lake that seperates some of the homes and a church that seperates the poor side of town from the richer side of town. All of the teen agers in town go to the same school, which isn't really that many people. The story mostly takes place when Landon is walking Jamie home or at school. Until the middle of the book, it starts to talk about the play.

I agree totally. Finding someone to share Those Same thoughts and That are willing to sacrifice the larger things for happiness seems ver distant maybe even non existent :-P
